ROSE PETAL BODY SCRUB

I found the recipe for this product on pinterest and thought I would give it a try. I know that since Valentines Day is coming up and being that it's winter here in Toronto I think my girlfriends and I are all suffering from a little dry skin. This simple recipe combines sugar (exfoliates), baby oil (moisturizes) and rose petals (scent) to make a beautiful product to keep your skin glowing! ♥

SHOPPING LIST:

Small Containers - I used 4oz Glass Jam Jars   ** Remember to wash them first!
Plain White Granulated Sugar - 3oz x how every many you want to make
Baby Oil -1oz x how every many you want to make
Rose Petals - I used pink ones

DIRECTIONS:

Place the sugar in the food processor (you may have to do this in parts!), add in your baby oil and rose petals. Blend until well mixed and the petals are nicely chopped up.

If you did this in parts transfer food processor contents to a large bowl and repeat sugar, baby oil and rose petal mixture until everything is done. Mix large bowl contents together one last time with a whisk.

Scoop out and fill jars!

I hope you had as much fun making these and giving them away as I did! Please let me know your comments below or if you have any request!!!!! Id love to hear from you ♥ ♥ ♥

BROWN SUGAR BODY SCRUB

One snowy winter day my darling friend Lili and I decided we were going to make some give away gifts for girlfriends. Valentines day was coming up and we thought a brown sugar body scrub would be perfect!! Who wouldn't love that, right!? The whole thing cost us about $100 each (including jars) and made for a fun activity to do inside on yet another crazy snow day.

If you are interested in trying to make the scrub yourself here is the recipe we used....

Ingredients:
Brown Sugar*
Vanilla sticks (one stick does two jars)
Coconut Oil (1/2 a cup per jar)
Shea Butter (one cup per jar)

*you will need to fill your jar about 3/4 the way full so keep that in mind and multiply by the # of jars you want to make

Directions:
Fill your jar about 3/4 the way full with brown sugar.
On a stove at low heat melt the Shea Butter, once it is a liquid add the coconut oil, stir and remove from heat. Let it cool slightly before adding it to the jar and stirring it in.
Slice a vanilla stick in half and remove the vanilla paste with a knife from the inside. Add the paste to the jar and stir. You can also cut the vanilla stick you scrapped in quarters and add it to the scrub for extra scent if you like.

That's it!!! So easy right!?
